Dense-grade aggregate — commonly called crusher run, road base, or DGA — combines angular crushed stone (3/4" down) with crushed stone dust. When spread in lifts, moistened, and compacted, the fines bind the larger stones into a tight, load-bearing foundation that resists rutting under heavy vehicles.
